Welcome to My Bad Poetry, a podcast where two good friends (Dave and Aaron) take a deep dive into Aaron's dabbling with poetry, between 2004-2008 when Aaron was in high school. Each week they hear a selection read aloud for what may be the first time, and examine it for its historical, philosophical and literary qualities, always asking.... why in the world did he write this? On Aaron’s birthday in 1999 a journal was given to him by one of his sisters. In 2004 it would become the home of roughly 50 poems/musings spread out over four years of high school. Now in 2021 join us on our journey through this collection and experience a mix of self reflection, humor, spirituality, philosophy, self deprecation, and just maybe a half decent poem!
