The University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre is a global leader in research and treatment, focussing on conditions that affect child development, youth mental health, and brain ageing (https://www.sydney.edu.au/brain-mind/). Professor Ian Hickie, co-director of the Brain and Mind Centre, is one of Australia’s leading psychiatrists, who is arguably at the forefront of international mental health research to advocate and promote for better mental health care in young people. Therefore, the Youth Mental Health and Technology team at the Brain and Mind Centre, led by Professor Hickie, puts young people at the centre of their own care. We partner with health services to develop innovative treatments for those aged 12-30 with emerging mental health disorders to make sure that all young people in Australia receive the best care they deserve.
