How We Started God birthed Church Alive in the mid-1990s in the hearts of two visionary pastors – Gene and Anne Amason. God showed them a group of multi-cultural people from various economic and ethnic backgrounds gathering together in Magee, Mississippi to enthusiastically and passionately worship Him. They also had a vision for whole and healthy relationships within the church and community, as well as reaching out to the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. Today, that vision is becoming a reality. Church Alive is alive and overflowing with children, teens, singles and families – people of all ages and backgrounds sharing life with one another, solving problems, healing relationships
