Description
The Temple News (TTN) serves as the editorially independent, weekly newspaper for Temple University. With a print run of 5000 copies distributed primarily on Temple's Main Campus every Tuesday, TTN provides a crucial news source for the university community. A dedicated staff of 24, bolstered by over 150 writers, is responsible for the design, reporting, and editing of the 20-page newspaper.
In addition to its traditional print product, TTN has embraced the digital age by offering breaking news and online-only content on its website. This innovative approach ensures that readers have access to the latest news, regardless of their location or the time of day. In 2007, TTN expanded its online presence by launching Broad & Cecil, a blog community that further enriches the content available to its audience.
As a key player in the university's media landscape, TTN stands out through its commitment to editorial independence, innovative digital strategies, and a strong community focus. These factors contribute to its position as a trusted and influential source of news for Temple University students, staff, and alumni, as well as the wider community.
