Me, Ruth. On a trampoline in rural Suffolk. Ruth is Stranger than Fiction is a podcast devised, researched and presented by me, Ruth McPhee, (almost) lifelong resident of the city of Cambridge in England. I have a long held fascination with tales of mystery and horror, as well as an interest in the history and folklore of of East Anglia. It is a land of flat fields and soggy fens, of coastal marshes and historical market towns. There are stories of murderers and smugglers set amongst a countryside where ghosts and black dogs roam. This podcast will tell some of these stories, with our discussions lubricated by one of my other primary interests: drinking a range of delicious and varied types
