If you book guests on podcasts, Rephonic and Podchaser give you deep data on each show, such as audience size and who listens. Media List gives you something different. One plan covers press, YouTube and podcasts, so a single campaign can reach a reporter, a YouTube host and a podcast host from the same list.
You can also use both kinds of tool. Here is how they compare, with prices checked in October 2026.

Rephonic and Podchaser win on podcast audience data. If you must prove a show has the right listeners before you pitch, use one of them.
Media List wins when podcasts are one part of a bigger push. A book launch, a product launch or a founder story often needs reporters and YouTube hosts too. With Media List you get press, YouTube and podcasts in one plan, unlimited searches instead of 100, and a price on the page instead of a demo.
The tools, one by one
1. Media List
Best for publicists and agencies who pitch podcasts as part of a wider media campaign.
Basic costs $99 a month with 2,500 exports. Professional costs $399 a month with 10,000 exports, 3 seats and campaigns. The trial lasts 3 days at $0 today, and you need a card or PayPal.
You search 1.2 million podcasts, 189,000+ YouTube channels and 31,000+ journalists, editors and producers in one place. Searches and lists are unlimited on every plan. You can send lists to Google Sheets, Notion or Webflow, or pull them through the MCP server into an AI assistant.
2. Rephonic
Best for podcast bookers who need to vet each show before they pitch.
Light costs $99 a month for 1 user and 100 searches, as of October 20261. Standard costs $149 a month for 5 users and 500 searches, and Business costs $299 a month for 10 users and unlimited searches1. Paying yearly gives you "two months free"1.
Rephonic "estimates the number of listeners per episode across the majority of active podcasts"4. Its API offers "listener estimates, Spotify followers, social reach, engagement scores, chart rankings and estimated ad costs per show"3. On contacts, it says you can "Get podcast emails for any show, including names and departments where available"2.
Where it beats Media List. Rephonic has far more podcasts, audience data, more seats per dollar on Standard, and a longer trial. Its search quota is "shared with everyone on your team", and once it runs out "you will no longer be able to use the search feature unless you upgrade"1.
3. Podchaser Pro
Best for brands, networks and ad buyers who need audience data and contacts by role.
Podchaser does not publish a price. The Pro page offers "Book a Demo" and "Contact Sales", and the pricing URL shows "Sorry, this page doesn't exist."1011 That was the case when we checked in October 2026.
Podchaser Pro promises "Podcast Reach, Demographics, & Contacts at Your Fingertips"10. It lists contacts "broken out by role for each podcast", plus sponsor data, ad rate cards and charts10.
Where it beats Media List. Podchaser has deep audience and sponsor data for ad buys and brand safety, and white-glove help through its sales team.

What a year costs
These use list prices as of October 2026, billed monthly, with yearly prices shown where the vendor lists them. Podchaser is left out because it has no public price.
| Plan | Solo publicist, one year | 3-person agency, one year |
|---|---|---|
| Rephonic | Light at $99 a month is $1,188, or $990 with two months free1 | Standard at $149 a month for up to 5 users is $1,788, or $1,490 yearly1 |
| Media List | Basic at $99 a month is $1,188, or $990 yearly | Professional at $399 a month for 3 seats is $4,788, or $3,990 yearly |
| Both together | $2,376 for Light plus Basic, billed monthly | $6,576 for Standard plus Professional, billed monthly |
For one person the entry price is the same. Media List gives unlimited searches and adds press and YouTube. For a podcast-only agency, Rephonic Standard costs less. For an agency that pitches every kind of media, Professional adds campaigns with follow-ups and open and click tracking.

Use both, a simple podcast plus press routine
- Use Rephonic or Podchaser to vet the shortlist. Check listeners, guest history and fit.
- Use Media List to build the rest of the campaign. Find the reporters on your beat, the YouTube channels in your niche and more podcasts by topic.
- Put everyone on one list in Media List, so press and podcast pitches go out in the same week.
- On Professional, send from your own mailbox with follow-ups, and track opens and clicks.
How to add Media List to a Rephonic setup
Rephonic lets you cancel "at any time from the billing page", and it says "There is no penalty or notice period"1. You can keep it and add Media List next to it.
- Start the 3-day trial at $0 today with a card or PayPal.
- Search by topic, then filter by media type to see podcasts, YouTube channels and journalists side by side.
- Add filters for outlet and US state when you want local press.
- Save a list and export up to 25 contacts during the trial.
- Your Rephonic campaigns stay in Rephonic. Export them first if you plan to cancel. Exporting campaigns needs a paid plan, since it is one of the features "not available on the free trial"1.
